"The corporate take over is
here and threatening the foundations of democratic government"
We mourn the death of Liberal
Democracy in Charles Kennedy's own constituency...fine words, no result.
The clock is ticking to Election
Day, but this crop will flower and blight the Black Isle & it's economy
two weeks earlier.
Highland Council calls for complete moratorium on GM tests

EMINENT GM SCIENTIST DR ARPAD PUSZTAI
ADDRESSED INVERNESS MEETING28TH
FEB
Our campaign continues to gather both pace and force, to have consent for the Field Scale Trial of GM oilseed rape at Rhives Farm, Munlochy rescinded by the Scottish Executive.
Our aim remains to persuade the regulatory authorities that the risks which this GM release poses to the Highland environment and to our agricultural economy are too great for the trial to be allowed to continue. We will continue to insist that the precautionary principle demands that government consent for the trial should be withdrawn, and that as a consequence the crop should be destroyed before it comes into flower next spring.
Please print out the Campaign Support form on this web site to register y our own support of the campaign. Please pass other copies to other likely supporters in your circle, who might be interested in helping us.
Write to any or as many of the following as you have the stamina for, recording your own personal objections to the release of GMOs in the Highland environment and calling for consent for the Munlochy trial to be rescinded.
